I have always thought these make a great little favor or craft for any of the angel associated feasts.  We made our little “choir of angels” which we will be giving out to all the participants at our homeschool group’s liturgical story time for the Feast of the Archangels.

They are very easy to make and Craftgirl and I made 40 in about 40 minutes. Here is a little tutorial for these “sweet” little angels.  It is a modified version of the ones I saw on the Hershey site.

Materials:

-bag of Hershey’s Kisses
-beads (at least 8 – 10 mm – can use wooden, “pearl,” etc.)
-sequin leaves
-gold chenille stems
-Sharpie marker
-glue gun
-wire cutters

* Make sure foil is closed tightly around Hershey’s Kiss (and tear off Hershey paper). Glue bead over tip of Kiss.

* Glue the sequin leaves on back for wings.

* To make halos I cut a small (3/4 inch) piece of gold metallic chenille and rolled it into a circle, leaving a short end sticking out to put into bead hole. If using beads with small holes use a shorter piece of chenille without the end and just set on bead.

* Glue halo end into bead hole. (Or glue halo without end directly to bead.)

* Draw face on angel if desired. They look cute without it, too.

They are a fun little addition for either the Feast of the Archangels or the Memorial of the Guardian Angels. Enjoy.
